I hold a PhD in Financeand bring over 24 years of experience directing investments and structuring funds and transactions within sovereign wealth funds. I have held global leadership roles across Real Estate, Hospitality, and Government sectors, managing over $20 billion in transactions. This professional background informs my academic work on critical issues including climate change and de-globalization.
I am currently pursuing my second Doctorate, in International Finance at the University of South Carolina. My research focuses on corporate governance, political outcomes, and FinTech. I am actively engaged in multiple ongoing working papers with leading global scholars and utilize novel data sources to conduct empirical analyses at the firm and bank levels. I also serve as Communications Editor at Corporate Governance: An International Review.
In addition to my research, I contribute to advancing economics and data science through applied tools. I have developed a suite of programs to support economists, including a forthcoming simulation program to be released on my Software page. I have also designed a research survey examining perceptions of risk within the banking sector to generate insights relevant to both academic and practitioner communities.
